English colonists arriving on Roanoke Island in 1587 find the fort built years before deserted. Soon after members of the colony begin to die in horrible ways. Leader Before returning to England for provisions, John White puts his son-in-law Ananais Dare in charge, and Dare realizes the island is haunted by Norse spirits. Enlisting the aid of a friendly Native American, Dare attempts to free the spirits from their earthly captivity before the entire colony is lost. Written by Ron Kerrigan <mvg@whidbey.com>




In 1587, a group of British colonists arrives in Roanoke Island and finds the local fortress deserted with the corpse of a suicidal hanged in decomposition and a warning written with blood on the ceiling. Ananias Dare is assigned to be in charge of the colony while their leader will bring supplies. Sooner Ananias learns that the forest is haunted by evil spirits that feed themselves of human soul and that they are chasing his new-born daughter that has a pure soul.
